Virtual Pierogi Class

This is a live, online cooking class.

Wednesday, May 20th: 3pm Hawaii Time/6pm Pacific

Pierogi are the ultimate comfort food—warm, pillowy dumplings filled with rich, satisfying flavors. This class is a celebration of two deeply loved traditions and the kind of food that brings people together around the table.

I grew up with Ukrainian-style pierogi made by my Canadian mother, delicately filled with cottage cheese—simple, soulful, and unforgettable. Years later, at Monkeypod Jam Cafe, our chef Chelsea introduced her incredible Polish pierogi, quickly becoming a Sunday brunch favorite—and the one dish I was always tempted to sneak from the freezer to take home.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to make pierogi from scratch, working with dough, shaping, filling, and cooking techniques that you can recreate at home. We’ll make classic Potato + Cheese Pierogi.

We’ll end the class gathered around the table, enjoying a cozy pierogi dinner together—because the best part of cooking is sharing the meal. And if there happen to be a few extra, you just might leave with a little something for later.

Come hungry, bring a friend, and get ready to fall in love with pierogi.

What to Expect

A list of all the ingredients and tools needed will be emailed out prior to class. Recipes will be emailed the evening prior. 

Where You’ll Be

In your own Kitchen! We will be teaching the class from our Cooking Kauai, Provisions Kitchen in Lāwa‘i, Kauai. Once registered, you’ll receive the list of needed ingredients and a Zoom link. 

Age Requirement 

Participants must be 16 years or older. Youth ages 8–15 must attend with an adult

 Refund Policy

Due to limited seating and the upfront costs of food and its preparation, our classes are final and non-refundable.

Please consider signing up for our classes as you would purchasing a concert ticket - you may send someone else in your place, but refunds cannot be issued.

Alternatively, you may contact us, and we will try our best to sell the seats on your behalf. If we do so, a future credit for a scheduled class will be issued.

Refunds will only be issued if Cooking Kaua'i needs to shut down or cancel events due to unforeseen events or low participation (fewer than 6).
